Weather and wet conditions force event venue change
The annual Red, White and Boom community event scheduled to be held at the Soccer Complex on 256 Jones Rd. Saturday July 2nd has been moved to the First Baptist Church here in Moss Bluff (276 Old Highway 171, off of Theriot Rd.). Torrential rain all day Friday made it impossible for set up as the band, food trucks and children’s entertainment were all expected to be on the grass surface of Complex. With the standing water, any vehicle travel and foot traffic at this time would completely ruin the grass surfaces and leave no time for repair with both soccer and football scheduled to begin in just over a month. Moss Bluff Recreation has been proud to host this event in the past and looks forward to scheduling future RWB events.
